Manual dealing with Sensory Integration dysfunction published

D.N.I.S. News Network – Sabala (ActionAid India) and Bangalore Children’s Hospital have jointly published a manual titled “Making Sense of Sensory Integration”.

The manual was developed by two Occupational Therapy students from the University of Sydney. The publication seeks to bridge the gap and provide accurate and scientific information on Sensory Integration dysfunction, which is an area of concern for all children with neurological problems.

The manual lists the different kinds of activities that a person as a parent or caregiver could do at home to support the child’s recovery. It also documents, in different languages, traditional songs and games that have a developmental and therapeutic value.
